Blackjack can be played in groups, but in fact, dealer-to-player format
is more estimated. The conception of blackjack is to obtain a
card combination
worth 21 (or closely under it, but not more) points. Aces' value
is diverse - it can be either 11 or 1 point(s), depending on
the
player's favor. The cards from two till nine are equal to their nominal
value. Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings have similar 10-point value. All
cards have equal validity regardless of their suit.
Blackjack betting is
allowed to be made when the game has not started yet. Each player is
dealt two cards at once (two-cards value can not exceed the 21-point
limit). The dealer is obliged to wait for the opponents' decision
whether to continue or to stop the game. Then the dealer starts dealing
cards to themselves. When the dealer is through, the cards are
exposed and the points are counted.
Texas Holdem poker won
large popularity. Poker
betting is more complicated: one player acts as a dealer. The
players who sit to the left of the dealer (blinds) are obliged to make
their bets first before receiving cards. Then all the players receive
two cards (hole cards). Holdem
betting involves raising bets in the round (raise), refusal to
play (fold) or making same betting as the "blinds" did (call). After
the first round the players are free to see the three community cards
(flop). The second round proceeds with the same options. After it, the
fourth card is shown (turn). The fifth
card, exposed in the third round
is called "river". |
